An underpinning to our high-performance signalling transport stacks, our STREAMS implementation of SCTP (Stream Control Transmission Protocol) is one of the first kernel implementations of the protocol and exhibits the following features:

• high-performance concurrent multi-path transfer;
• superior redundancy for real-time transactions in the face of path failures;
• aggregate line rate transfer performance; and,
• standards compliance (IETF, ETSI, ITU-T).

OpenSS7 was, and continues to be, instrumental in the development of IETF standards for SCTP.
